We have gone with a UK produced injection moulded mould, the design of which is far superior to any weight mould ever produced.

The mould produces 170 and 150 size leads is free standing. hinged and comes with a closing clamp.

We provide the nose cone with heavy duty stainless wires in place, stem and tail loop, plus locking washer to complete the lead. all you need to do is produce the lead body. No waste as any rejects are re-melted, no wasted components.

The mould will come with 10 complete nose cone assembles 5 red and 5 yellow, Others can be ordered at any time. We also expect to set up agents in most countries please email us.

We consider this to be a major step forward and is aimed at allowing customers overseas to have the benefit of Breakaway leads without the high shipping costs and worldwide patent issues.

During tests with the mould we have found it very easy to remove the mandrel too quickly, Thus allowing the lead to sink on the inside, and making it harder to pull the stem into place.

The object of this mould is for anglers to make there own leads, but some will want to make larger numbers quickly for resale, we have no problems with this, but to stop sinkage and to produce quickly its best to purchase another mandrel so one can be cooling while you pour the next one.
